Roy and I were close fiends in high school.  We did a lot of things together, most of which should probably be left forgotten.  But one thing we did do was double date a lot.  The last double date we had I was with the girl that would become my wife for the next 50 years (so far).  I was deeply saddened to see his passing.

I remember Roy in high school, although did not know him well. I find it odd that Albuquerque and Highland High School were not mentioned in his obit.

I remember Roy as a kind and gentle young man.  I had classes with him during our 3 years at HHS.  May God bless his family.  Mary Halberg

Does anyone realize that Roy Hemphill died in 2001?  I read comments every day now.  Gail
