Margie Fogleman Perry was born to Lonam and O. Mae Folgeman, July 31, 1947, in Albuquerque.
She graduated from Highland High in Albuquerque in 1965. She spent most of her adult life in Farmington, where she was employed in the gas and oil industry for many years. She was a long-time member of Desk and Derrick. Margie married James Perry in 1997, and established their home in Rio Rancho, until the time of her passing. Margie enjoyed attending Connie Mack games with her father for nearly 30 years. She loved to travel and took many wonderful cruises. Margie had a true green thumb and enjoyed working in her yard and garden. Family often gathered at Margie's to enjoy a birthday or celebration in her beautiful home and yard. Margie's beloved grandchildren loved spending time with her and spent many summer evenings helping her tend to her many turtles. She will be greatly missed by all who were so blessed to know her. Her loving, generous and compassionate ways will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.
Margie was preceded in death by her father, Lonam R. Fogleman. She is survived by her husband, James H. Perry (Rio Rancho); son, Clay W. Sewell (Tula Rosa); daughter, Renee Byrd (Midland, Texas); mother, O. Mae Fogleman; brothers, Russell Fogleman (Albuquerque) and Louis Fogleman (Farmington); grandchildren, Riley Sewell (Lewis Ville, Colo.), Avery Sewell (West Park, N.Y.), Hunter Sewell ( Tula Rosa), and Sage Sewell (Tula Rosa), Ashlee Byrd (Midland, Texas), and Jodi Byrd (Midland, Texas).

Dan Bussell was informed by Margie's cousin that she passed away in 2014. I remember her back to the Wilson Jr. High days as funny, happy and always upbeat. Rest in peace Margie.

Margie is the first person I remember that is not my family. When we moved to Albuquerque, we moved into a rental house next door to her family I was in the third grade she was second, somewhere around 7th grade she caught up to me when I had to do that one twice, lol. We moved before my 4th grade but I always remembered her as a fun playmate. We did not get beyond acquaintances in HHS, I only remember her as a nice person, someone who always said hello.
I’m sorry she is gone and sure she will be missed by her friends and family.

Margie - So sorry to hear of your passing. Had the honor of getting to know you our Senior year at HHS. You were a big supporter of our HHS Baseball team. We would hangout with some of our friends after games. You were always so honest and friendly. Sorry to have lost track of you after graduation. You were a very Special Lady! One of my favorite people at HHS. We were at Wilson together & in the same home room for all of high school. I enjoyed her company &/we got along great. She liked me cause I was. Always playing baseball. She was a fan! She will be missed by everyone she came in contact with during her life. She was a gem!

What a sad surprise to learn about Margie's passing. Margie and I were best friend's at Highland. Margie broke broke her leg (I think when skiing) and I carried her books to classes for several months. She was the one who pierced my ears for me! We kept in touch for many years after high school and then drifted apart. I will always remember her very fondly. Margie was a forthright and stand up person. I am sure the world is missing her very much.
