I remember Woodrow Jones when he came to Highland HS late in the fall 1964. I was not friends with Woodrow but later would become friends with his brother Prentiss " Leon " Jones and learned that he was a great academic student but an outstanding football player . He later would go on to U of New Mexico and being an outstanding Football Player and earn a PHD and become Professor at Collegiate level.
Rest in Peace Woodrow ! Lee Hayes

I am quite saddened by this news. I met Woody in Oliver Neece's physics class in '64-'65. I think Barbara Levin was also in that same class. Woody was such a quiet and polite young man. He was also very smart, as his career achievements attest. It's odd that I ran across Woody's picture just a couple days ago as I was looking for something in the UNM 1969 yearbook. Rest in peace, friend.
