Got drafted into the Army spent my time in Ft Ord, Ca. Finished studies at UNM graduated with a degree in Biochemistry in 1970. Sailed the Caribbean as a yacht captain and cook. Trekked by boat and foot around the world. I make stained glass windows , blow hot glass and paint pictures. Smuggled pot from SA, spent 17 years in jail building furniture and going to school. The government took my millions, my houses, my boats, my cars. So here I am in ABQ taking care of mom. after 2 months of r and r the rehab on my knee is working. I have a new knee. The other knee is now a problem. I start a new job next week passing out wieners at Smith's. I trained my whole life for this job. Stop by the Smith's on Constitution for a bite. Had my other knee operated on in November, I am healing well. I do aquatics to restore my strength. The lack of exercise I have gained 20 lbs. I need a dance partner anyone for tango? Ran into an old girlfriend from 47 years ago, She was married to Bob Turner until 2 years ago when he died. I wish I could say we are bosum buddies but no. Mom fell and broke a rib so I have been nursing her between visits from my sisters. I was hoping to start driving for Uber but someone hit my parked car so that has been postponed another week. I may have to go back to marketing my paintings and glass full time.

I have had a good summer. I met a art teacher who talked me into going to the islands on a huge cruise ship. Only $125 a day! There were only 4200 other people on the boat. The pools were like going to large sardine tin wall to wall people some were fishy smelling. I did get back to see my favorite islands St Martins cheap rum and nude beaches, Puerto Rico, beautiful Latinas and the rain forest, and Nassau, great beaches and warm clear water. The $125 a day quickly turns into double that and triple that when you want a rum punch at the end of the day. $12.50 per person per day for maid service, $12.50 for tips for all meals in the dining room. They did have a buffet all day that was self serve. There was a charge for all drinks, imagine having to be in the hot sun all day without a beer! It was $90 for a picture of one person, $25 for each additional people. One of the shows they had was an auction, junk art for sale to the highest bidder. They had gambling, no winners there. Side trips that started at $50 per person to go snorkeling when you could take a $2 taxi to explore the island. I have been passing out samples in Smith's. Smores made with Pepperidge Farm cookies and high quality Chocolate bars last weekend. My trek is to go to LA Los Alamos 190 miles round trip. I have blown 4 tires one of them was a new tire. LA is an interesting town with lots of foreigners Trump will probably try to deport them all after all they are bomb makers. I am listening to a book on the fall of ENRON it is amazing to heard how smart men manipulate the markets to give themselves the deal makers huge profits at the users expense. Applied for a job at the LOS Volcanas senior center today. The place is in the middle of an addition being added total junk yard, should be an improvement. 9/12/17
