BURLESON - Larry Richard Baggette was born February 24, 1947, in Mobile, Alabama, and entered his eternal home on Friday, July 1, 2022, at a local hospice in Fort Worth, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, at First Baptist Church in Burleson with Dr. Ronny Marriott and Dr. Steve Mullen officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, at the church.

Larry was a very successful real estate businessman, custom home builder, and entrepreneur, who was known for his honesty, integrity and character. He believed in “buying low and selling high!”

He was a lifelong member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and a faithful member of the Granbury Lions Club International for over 25 years, holding the positions of Vice President and President multiple times, and he lived the LCI motto of “standing for peace and understanding, united through kindness to serve those in need.”

Larry was also an active member of First Baptist Church Burleson, where he served as an usher and greeter until prohibited by failing health.

Larry was happiest when spending time with his “Sweetie,” whom he adored. They especially enjoyed attending Texas Rangers baseball games, scuba diving (he logged over 200 dives) in Cozumel and Bonaire, cruising, and riding his Harley Davidson “scooters.”

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Letha Mae Baggette of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and father-in-law, David Jameson of Burleson, Texas.

An adoring and loving husband, Larry is survived by his wife of 16 years, “Sweetie” Bettie Baggette of Burleson, Texas; daughter, Kelly Koch (Joe) and his grandson, Kolsen Koch of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Sherri Kile (Richard) of Phoenix, Arizona; mother-in-law, Sue Jameson; sister-in-law, Becky Wagner (Danny) of Burleson; nephews, Chris Kile and Brad Kile (SaraLynn) of Phoenix, Adam White (Kait) of Burleson, and Nate Wagner of Burleson; niece, Nicki Connor (Michael) of Pocatello, Idaho; numerous cousins; extended family; cherished friends; and two very spoiled Boston Terriers, Otis and Baxter, that he referred to as his “puppies.”

The family wishes to thank their many friends and church family for their loving support during these last months, and the caring and attentive people of Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas or Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas.

Larry I have thought of you frequently through the years and how we laughed and giggled our way through our typing class amid daily looks of disdain from the teacher. I'm sorry for the loved ones whom you have left behind but I see that you were a Christian so we will all meet again. Fly high with Jesus Brother.
