Mary Ellen Reese, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, passed away June 21, 2009 at a nursing home in Albuquerque where she resided for the last two years. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Swenson, husband Steve, and two grandchildren, Emma and Elizabeth; her sister, Valerie Reese Cordaro and family; and her three brothers, Richard, Robbie, and Ronnie Reese and their respective families. She was born in Palo Alto, California, June 20, 1947 and was a twin to Richard. Her brothers, Robbie and Ronnie are also twins. She graduated from Highland High School, class of 65, and went to TVI, obtaining a nursing assistant certificate and worked in several nursing homes and private home care. She played the piano for years, composing a song she called the "Ocean Song" that she had copyrighted and did years of beautiful crewel work. She passed away peacefully after a two year struggle with cancer.
